I posted this on FB this morning, buuuuuut…

Hello you guys. I am a sentimental fuck and went to sleep last night with tears of joy in my eyes after our release show. To everyone who came to that show to support us last night, helped promote it, hosted it, and got our new album— I appreciate you and love you. We wouldn’t be anything at all without you. Thank you so incredibly much for being there for me and us and for helping us along. Our next stop is Decemeber 28th at the new San Jose Rock Shop with Picture Atlantic and French Cassettes. I hope to see you soon. Love, Kendall : )

A friend reported that about 120 people showed up during last night’s show, AND STAYED for the whole thing. That tells me that our music scene in San Jose is alive and kicking major ass. Let’s keep this up and continue supporting each other. <3

Here’s a video of our closing song, “Reincarnate,” courtesy of our buddies at Local Bay Area music.

Design Cartoon Bar Fight's Official Logo!

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: July 1, 2012

EMAIL SUBMISSIONS TO: cartoonbarfight@yahoo.com

DETAILS: We desperately need an official logo. Something really simple but unique and really memorable that sets the mood for our tunes— something we can proudly plaster everywhere (including on our drum head) as we prepare for an album release tour at the end of the summer.

If you have time to do this, feel free to submit any logo you come up with that you think reflects us. We will compile the submissions and have anonymous voting on our band facebook!

I was thinking it might be cool to have a logo designed around the themes in our song “A Flower in Space.” Envision like a glowing moon or planet with a single flower growing out of it. Cool?

Otherwise, some recurring themes in our music include: dreams, childhood, outer space, death, flowers, and the environment. Woo!

Logo may or may not include our band name!

RSVP if you feel interested and we’ll seriously love you forever. Whoever we pick will get art credit on our website and inside our album, free CBF albums for life, and a $30 giftcard to the local record store of your choice. All other submissions will be proudly displayed on our website, too, so no hard feelin’s. :)

Weee thanks!

The Sound of Her Voice | A Compilation by RadioActiveSJ

The digital release for this rad compilation is now available here! Features twenty female fronted local Bay Area bands, including Girl Named T, The Wild Reeds, Survival Guide, Loquat, The SHE’s, Doe Eye, Kiwi Time, and so many more that we love.

All proceeds go to InnVision—a shelter in the South Bay that promotes self-sufficiency to those who are struggling with homelessness.

The incredible album art is a beautiful piece called “Sounds of Nature” by Terry Fan

Lastly! Our brand new recording of “The Valley” is track number four. Hope you like it.

Our show with Adira Shark, The High Sea and The Ghost of Wrights last night at The Blue Lagoon in Santa Cruz was freaaaking brilliant. So glad to know all the people in those bands. Went home with happy bubbles in my heart.

I think we’re gonna try to bring this same lineup of bands to San Jose for a show this Summer. Prepare for endless joy!
